Raymond P. Genereaux was born in Seattle, Wash., on September 20, 1902. He did his undergraduate work at Stanford and received a degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University. He joined E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company at their Wilmington Experimental Station in 1929. Genereaux was a specialist in the flow of fluids and designed many production facilities for DuPont, including the plutonium separation apparatus for the Manhattan Project. Genereaux retired in 1967 and died at age 9...

Henry Belin du Pont Jr., was born on July 23, 1898. He attended Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating with a B.S. in Engineering in 1923. From 1923 to 1925 he was employed at General Motors' Dayton, Ohio research laboratory. In 1927 he came to the Du Pont Company's Engineering Department.
